Dr. Jake Hanus
Doctor of Dental Surgery
Dr. Jake Hanus was raised right here in Bixby and graduated from Bixby High School in 2007. After completing his undergraduate studies at Oklahoma State University, he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Oklahoma in 2014. Shortly after graduation, he returned home to serve the community he loves.
Dr. Hanus met his wife, Whitney, when they were in high school, and they were married in 2010. Whitney is a hygienist in the practice, making dentistry truly a family passion. Together, they have two wonderful kids who keep life full of excitement.
Outside the office, Dr. Hanus is an avid outdoorsman. His work schedule runs right on time — but he always finds time to swap fishing stories or share hunting photos! He also enjoys golfing and traveling with his family whenever he gets the chance.
Dr. Hanus is passionate about bringing the best technology and highest quality care to his patients. He believes in finding the most conservative, thoughtful approach to restoring dental health while helping each patient achieve their personal goals.
There's something special about practicing in your hometown, and Dr. Hanus truly enjoys caring for friends, neighbors, and families he's known for years — while welcoming new patients with the same warmth and care.
Whitney Hanus
Registered Dental Hygienist
Whitney has been brightening smiles as a dental hygienist since 2010. She and Dr. Hanus both graduated from Bixby High School where they were high school sweethearts who later married in 2010. These days they're raising two amazing kids, Stetson and Adelaide, who attend Bixby schools and keep their world spinning in the best way possible — busy and full of fun!
When she's not at the office, you'll usually find Whitney cheering on her kids, spending time with family and friends, or planning her next travel adventure.
Whitney truly loves getting to know her patients and their families. She understands that not everyone feels confident walking into a dental office, and her goal is to make sure every patient feels comfortable, cared for, and encouraged about their dental health— never judged.
Whitney feels incredibly blessed to serve the Bixby community and looks forward to caring for your family for years to come.
Sydney Kirkland
Office Manager
Sydney joined our team in the Spring of 2013 as our Office Manager. She attended Oklahoma State University and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in 1993. She met her husband at OSU and has carried on the OK State tradition with all 3 of their boys bleeding orange.-Go POKES!
When not at work, Sydney enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Hiking, traveling and going to concerts are among her favorite hobbies.
Tonya Smith
Front Desk
With over 3 decades of experience at the front desk, Tonya is one of the friendly faces who greets you when you walk in. She enjoys building relationships with patients, and making scheduling, insurance, and check-in as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Outside the office, she cherishes time with her husband, children, and especially her grandkids! She also loves to read and study her Bible, and cheer on the Oklahoma State Cowboys. GO POKES!
Jessica Youngwirth
Registered Dental Hygienist
A proud Bixby native and sister to Dr. Hanus, Jessica has been serving patients as a part-time hygienist in our practice since 2016. She graduated from Bixby High School, where she met her high school sweetheart, Matthew, whom she later married. Together, they're raising their three children right here in Bixby.
Jessica loves embracing the outdoors in every season and stays busy keeping up with her active family.
Jessica enjoys reconnecting with patients she's known for years and meeting new faces along the way. Her warm personality and gift for conversation make every visit feel less like an appointment and more like catching up with a friend.
Becky Helscel
Clinical Assistant
Becky brings over 26 years of chair-side clinical assisting experience and joined our team in the spring of 2009. In 1997 she proudly graduated from the Rose State Dental Assisting Program. She is certified in radiation safety and protection for the exposure and processing of dental radiographs (x-rays), coronal polishing and fluoride application, sealant application, and Nitrous oxide sedation.
She lives in Broken Arrow with her husband Jack. She has two children and four grandbabies that she adores!
Baylee Leard
Registered Dental Assistant
Baylee is a caring dental assistant with over ten years of experience who is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their smiles. She strives to create a calm, welcoming environment and enjoys building relationships that make every visit a positive experience.
When she's not at the office, you'll likely find her spending time with her son or out on her property caring for her horses, chickens, and dogs — embracing her love for animals and the outdoors.
Kylie Grider
Registered Dental Assistant
Kylie joined our team in the winter of 2024. She was born & raised in Bixby, OK and graduated from Bixby High School in 2020. She graduated from Tulsa Dental Assisting School in the fall of 2021 and is certified in radiation safety and protection for the exposure and processing of dental radiographs (x-rays), coronal polishing and fluoride application.
Kylie lives in Bixby, OK with her husband Treyton and their daughter Parker that they welcomed into this world in November 2025. Kylie enjoys spending her free time with her family & friends, or playing with her dog Benny!
Kylie loves to travel, craft, go shopping, and cheer on her favorite football team Oklahoma State, GO POKES!
