Cleaning & Prevention
Early detection is the key to avoiding and detecting gum disease. Regular cleanings and exams can prevent more costly treatment needs such as deep scaling and root planing.
Regular dental cleanings are a crucial part to healthy teeth and gums. Your oral health is enhanced by removing plaque and tartar and your risk of gingivitis and periodontal disease are dramatically reduced with regularly scheduled professional cleanings. Our dental hygienists have the finest equipment and materials for removing plaque and tartar buildup. For heavier buildup, an ultrasonic device is used. The cleaning is concluded with polishing. This involves cleaning the surface of teeth, removing stains, and leaves your mouth feeling clean and refreshed.
Regularly scheduled dental examinations and cleanings at least twice a year are highly encouraged to maintain an optimal level of oral health as well to prevent future oral health problems from occurring. We keep you up to date on your oral health and will make sure to keep record of your visits and scheduled appointments, making your life easier.
Enhancing your smile’s aesthetic appearance it can truly change a person’s life. It can boost self-confidence, improves social skills, and can create a renewed outlook on life. - Teeth Whitening
- Tooth Extraction
If a patient’s tooth cannot be saved, an extraction will be performed.
- Wisdom Teeth
- Routine Extractions
Wisdom Tooth Extraction
Wisdom teeth are the last teeth to grow in your mouth (generally after age 18). Often times they do not grow in properly and become impacted. This can cause many problems, which include gum disease, infection, decay, and in rare cases tumors. Wisdom teeth are extracted to prevent these problems.
Infected Tooth Extraction
Our goal is to maintain your teeth you already have if possible. However when infection of a patient’s tooth is severe or the long term prognosis of restoring the tooth is poor an extraction may be in the best interest of the patient.
Dr. Hanus makes tooth extractions relatively comfortable and an overall pleasant experience for patients. By walking each patient step by step through the procedure, acquiring profound anesthesia, and reassuring the patient during the procedure, many patients find that extractions aren’t a bad experience at all, but a treatment option that can remove infection and the cause of pain. Dr. Jake hanus serves Bixby and South Tulsa with their tooth extraction needs and aims to minimize any post operative discomfort.
When it comes to replacing missing teeth, crowns and conventional bridges or dentures are not your only option. For many patients, dental implants offer a smile that looks and feels natural. Over a series of appointments, the implants are surgically placed below the gums. A healing phase is allowed so that the dental implant can chemically and mechanically fuse to the jawbone and ultimately can serve as a foundation for an implant crown, bridge or denture.
Dental implants are the most lifelike replacement treatment option available for missing teeth. Implants begin with a surgically placed post that is anchored into the patient’s jawbone. This bone will undergo a healing process that takes approximately three to six months.
We then fabricate an implant crown, bridge or denture that will be securely anchored into place to replace the patient’s missing tooth or teeth. These implant restorations result in a new artificial tooth or teeth that are indistinguishable from the patient’s remaining dentition. Whether missing a single tooth or several teeth, dental implants can perfectly mimic the function of healthy, natural teeth.
Many people will experience tooth decay at some point in their life. But early detection and proper correction of tooth decay can help alleviate any tooth loss and help cut expenses in the future. Innovations Dentistry provides quality restorative dentistry for all phases of tooth decay.
- Porcelain Inlays & Onlays
- Root Canal Therapy
We restore the tooth back and use a filling made of silver or composite resin. Composite resin fillings have become much more popular in the last several years because their natural appearance. Composite fillings blend in very well with the surrounding teeth to give a natural appearance.
Porcelain Crowns cover the entire visible surface of the tooth, while also providing significant reinforcement and protection to the patient’s tooth. The decay is removed and an impression of the tooth it sent to a laboratory where the final restoration can be fabricated. Porcelain crowns are natural looking, making them an ideal choice for visible teeth.
We also offer root canal treatments. We will remove the infected pulp and replace it with a rubber sealant. Once the treatment has been completed many times a crown will then be placed over the tooth cap. This reinforces the tooth against future fractures and enhances the tooth’s appearance. Root canals have high success rate in saving teeth that would otherwise be lost.
