Dr. Jake Hanus, D.D.S.
Dr. Hanus was raised in Bixby, Oklahoma, where he shared equal passion for sports and the outdoors. Upon graduation in 2007, he attended Oklahoma State University to complete his undergraduate studies. From there, Dr. Hanus went on to 4 years of dental school at the University of Oklahoma, and graduated with distinction in 2014. Dr. Hanus is joined in practice by his wife and high school sweetheart, Whitney, a dental hygienist. Together they have a little boy, Stetson. Dr. Hanus is a member of the American Dental Association, the Oklahoma Dental Association, and Tulsa County Dental Society. As a first generation doctor, Dr. Hanus could not be more excited to come back to Bixby to treat his own friends and family, and welcomes each of you just the same.

Whitney graduated from Bixby High School in 2006 and received her Associates of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2010. She spent the last four years practicing in Edmond, Oklahoma while her husband, Dr. Jake Hanus, completed dental school. She and Jake are thrilled to have the opportunity to return to, practice, and raise their son in their hometown. Whitney enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and also loves to travel.

Emily was born in Tulsa and raised in Sand Springs where she graduated high school in 1997.She attended college at Oklahoma State University for three years. In that time she completed her pre-requisite courses, and then attended the University Of Oklahoma College Of Dentistry where she proudly received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 2002.Emily practiced dental hygiene in Colorado and Texas but then decided to return home to Oklahoma in 2010. She resides in Bixby, OK with her college sweetheart of 10 years, Jake and their two young daughters. She enjoys practicing two days of the week while also being a stay at home mom. She enjoys spending time with family, cooking, gardening, and exercising.

Natalie joined our team in the fall of 2012. Natalie is currently gaining chairside experience and has proven to be a wonderful asset to our team. She is quickly becoming a very skilled chairside clinical assistant and we expect great things from her in the years to come. Natalie graduated with honors from Platt College Dental Assisting program in September 2012. During this time Natalie interned with our office for two months illustrating her ability to learn quickly, hard work ethic, attention to detail. She officially joined our team once she graduated.Natalie currently resides in Okmulgee, OK with her maltese, Dixie. She enjoys hanging out with family and friends, visiting family in Colorado and rooting for her favorite teams, Oklahoma City Thunder, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Sooners!
Becky brings over 14 years of chair-side clinical assisting experience and joined our team in the spring of 2009. In 1997 she proudly graduated from the Rose State Dental Assisting Program. She is certified in radiation safety and protection for the exposure and processing of dental radiographs (x-rays), coronal polishing and fluoride application, sealant application, and Nitrous oxide sedation. Becky has the gift and the ability to give young children a positive dental experience every time they come to our office.Becky lives in Broken Arrow, OK with her husband Jack and her two wonderful children, Cameron and Summer. During her free time Becky loves reading, music, and playing with her dog Loki.
Sydney joined our team in the spring of 2013. She was born and raised in Tulsa, OK where she graduated from Memorial High School in 1987. She attended Oklahoma State University and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in 1993. She worked in Social Services for 8 years before deciding to stay home and raise her three boys for several years. She and her husband of sixteen years recently moved their family to Bixby and have really enjoyed being a part of this community.She is new to the Dental Industry but very excited to be working and enjoys meeting all of Dr. Smith’s patients. When not at work, Sydney enjoys spending time with her family and friends, painting, reading and watching her boys play soccer, football and jiu-jitsu.
